In relation to the current crisis between South Korea and North Korea, South Korea has decided to develop its surveillance system to prevent any jamming from NoKor that may occur, with a history of South’s civilian facilities being a target in the past.
Currently, South Korea is setting up a GPS surveillance system that will track down the attack point, as well as the impact of GPS jamming attempts. In spite of SoKor having a radio wave control system for domestic operators, the country still feels the need to have a comprehensive system that will help detect any GPS irregularities amid an escalating dispute from North Korea.
Reports said that the South Korean government will choose a commercial company from a public call for proposals to develop and install the system by the end of this year.
