Hughes Communications India, Ltd. (HCIL) will be establishing a digital training academy for Maruti Suzuki, Ltd that leverages satellite broadband technology to extend “live” training across Maruti’s company factories and offices, key dealer outlets, and other important parts of the company’s distribution chain.
Hughes is tasked with integrating the studio at the Maruti Training Academy, the classroom at its customer’s regional training offices, and the use of a high-powered Ku-band satellite network to set up the interactive delivery platform. A centralised studio at the Gurgaon plant operated by Maruti Suzuki will broadcast the training sessions to more than 30 locations throughout India. Each training programme comes with module sessions regarding technical, commercial, HR, and product matters.
The Hughes Interactive Onsite Learning (IOL) platform will deliver training sessions using its seamless integration of traditional educational methods and cutting-edge technology. The platform enables interactive two-way engagement between Maruti’s trainers and students/trainees scattered across the most remote locations in India in real time and at high quality.
The Training Academy will provide Maruti Suzuki with skilled manpower by providing appropriate training for existing employees and introducing new hires to the Company’s manufacturing culture. The aforementioned training and orientation will raise the value of the operations’ entire value chain.
Numerous companies have used HCIL’s scalable satellite broadband solutions to provide their extensive branch networks with a training infrastructure that can serve the entire distribution ecosystem from the employee level up to the partner level. In particular, the Hughes Interactive Onsite Learning platform is used by employee-friendly corporates to overcome the geographical dispersion of trainees during physical classroom training and residential courses.
