Cal-Bay Systems has integrated the functions of spectrum monitoring and RF recording into the new Spectrum Defender product, an portable, off-the-shelf PXI-based platform.
Critical VHF, UHF and microwave bands that rely on applications are often infringed upon by cheap devices that lack licenses, especially when there is a change in FCC regulations.
Engineers can use Spectrum Defender to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and defend the performance of those spectrum and associated systems against stray or hostile signals.
Functions provided by Spectrum Defender include survey, record, play, and review. The workflow of the Cal-Bay product can be configured to meet the needs of the user.
In addition, Spectrum Defender does away with the need to monitor it live and continuously thanks to an autonomous mode that recognizes and records signal encroachment for further analysis.
